Jim Mundth

Project Manager / Estimator – HVAC/R

Jim is a graduate of Hudson High School and Dunwoody Technical College, where he earned his degree in Refrigeration and HVAC Service. He has lived in the New Richmond and Star Prairie area since 1992, where he and his wife raised three children—all of whom have followed in his footsteps, working in the plumbing and heating trades.

Jim began his career as Chief Engineer at Hudson Medical Center, maintaining and repairing the facility’s HVAC/R systems. In the late 1990s, he transitioned to field service work with a Local 16 HVAC company out of Eau Claire, providing commercial service and installation. In 2001, he founded his own HVAC/R business serving western Wisconsin and the Twin Cities area, specializing in both residential and commercial systems.

He joined Pipefitters Local 455 in 2013, performing large-scale commercial installations and service projects across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota. Since 2016, Jim has worked in project management and estimating for commercial HVAC/R projects and holds all Minneapolis and St. Paul competency cards for his trade.

Outside of work, Jim enjoys spending time outdoors year-round—whether that’s riding his motorcycle in the summer, relaxing at the lake, or snowmobiling through the trails in the winter.
