Commercial Plumbing Estimator
Description:
We are looking for a full-time Commercial Plumbing Estimator, who is responsible for evaluating and estimating the cost, bid specifications and drawings involved in plumbing projects and ensuring that all required items are completed to successfully bid projects, specifically for commercial buildings and properties.
This role requires technical knowledge and the ability to assess materials, labor, and time required to complete plumbing installations and repairs.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials needed for plumbing installations and repairs.
- Calculate material and labor costs to prepare detailed estimates for commercial plumbing projects.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and compliance
- Conduct site visits to assess existing plumbing systems, identify potential issues, and ensure accurate estimation.
- Meet with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with suppliers to obtain quotes for materials and equipment required for plumbing installations.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns, including labor, materials, and overhead costs, and present them to clients or project managers.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and project-related documentation.
- Monitor project progress and compare actual costs to estimates, making adjustments as needed.
- Identify potential risks associated with plumbing systems, including compliance with local codes and regulations, and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that all plumbing work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards, environmental considerations, and industry codes.
Your knowledge, skills, and abilities should include:
- Thorough understanding of the company’s policies, procedures, systems, and objectives
- Advanced knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques
- Ability to accurately estimate costs, identify discrepancies, and ensure project alignment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, construction documents and specifications.
- Skilled at troubleshooting and identifying solutions to potential project challenges.
Education and Experience Information include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a background in plumbing, construction management, or a related field.
- 6+ of experience in commercial plumbing, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and industry standards.

Building Automation Systems Technician
Description:
We are looking for a full-time Building Automation Systems Technician , who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building automation systems, with a particular focus on the Niagara platform and Johnson FX or Honeywell Webs programming. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and energy management to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of our building systems.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Install, configure, and commission BAS equipment and software
- Integrate various building systems (HVAC, lighting, security, etc.) into the BAS
- Develop and modify control sequences using Niagara platform and Johnson FX or Honeywell Webs programming tools
- Create and update graphical user interfaces for system operation and monitoring
- Maintain accurate records of system installation and update drawings for as-builts
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for management and clients as needed
- Provide training and support to end-users on BAS operation and functionalities
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service requests
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Your knowledge, skills and abilities should include:
- Proficient in Niagara Framework and Johnson FX or Honeywell Webs programming
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical controls, and energy management
- Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and other communication protocols
- Experience with network configurations and IT infrastructure as it relates to BAS
Education and Experience Information includes:
- Associate’s degree in HVAC, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building automation systems with a focus on Niagara platform and Johnson FX or Honeywell Webs programming.
- Relevant certifications such as Niagara AX/N4 Certification, Johnson FX Certification, or Honeywell Webs Certification are highly desirable.

Project Manager
Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. Design-build experience is a plus!
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Review mechanical drawings and specifications for completeness and best practices
- Consult with vendors, subcontractors, and Kraft Mechanical staff to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
- Analyze blueprints and construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
- Conduct site visits or walk throughs as required to assist with estimates
- Manage awarded projects from beginning to end
- Plan, execute, and finalize projects within budgets and timelines
- Coordinate and direct field staff and sub-contractors for awarded projects
- Set and manage project expectations with team members and sub-contractors
- Plan and schedule project timelines
- Attend project meetings
- Request bonds when called out in bid documents
- Complete and deliver project close-out documents
Qualifications:
- Prefer Bachelor’s Degree. If no degree, High school diploma or GED along with a St. Paul or Minneapolis Competency Card is required;
- Minimum 5 years of related field experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
