Unveiling the Wonders of the Minnesota History Center with Kraft Mechanical
In the heart of St. Paul lies the Minnesota’s history and architectural marvels—the Minnesota History Center. Recently, Kraft Mechanical had the pleasure of joining the Greater Saint Paul Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) for an exclusive Engineers Lunch & Tour event, offering a behind-the-scenes look at this iconic landmark.
Our tour began in the Heffelfinger Room, a room within the bustling Center. Surrounded by fellow BOMA members, we walked through and discovered the past.
We ventured into the mechanical and collection storage areas. From state-of-the-art HVAC systems to meticulously organized archives, each corner revealed the Center’s commitment to preserving Minnesota’s heritage while embracing modern efficiency. See our photos for a sneak peak into the storage areas.
A highlight of the tour was seeing the intricate machinery that sustains the Center’s operations. As members of Kraft Mechanical, we were particularly intrigued by the behind-the-scenes mechanisms ensuring optimal functionality while safeguarding historical artifacts.
Beyond the technical marvels, the tour event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with peers in the commercial real estate industry. It underscored the importance of collaboration and community in nurturing our built environment.
As we concluded our tour, we left with a deeper appreciation for the Center’s significance. It is more than just a building; it is a testament to our shared history and the dedication of those who uphold it. Hopefully, you will be able to take your friends, family, or fellow co-workers to the MN History Center.
Until next time, Minnesota History Center.
